There are various mistakes made by those who choose to hide carry. Few will make it into the range even after a month and many others almost never at all. For people who do step into a shooting booth, they will often only shoot a static target from a static place.
As they comfortably take their time for best-concealed carry protection to get into a good shooting position they’ll engage their target and attempt to stitch the tightest groups possible.
Their firearm will never break leather. In reality, there’ll be no resemblance to how they actually conceal carry in any way. There will not be a searching and assessing threats, escape routes, cover, or to break the tunnel vision that communicates high-stress situations.
They will not vocalize for their newspaper goal to stop, return, or drop the weapon. They will not take and move, shoot while moving, shoot out of cover, or some other position which could be uncomfortable or sensible in any way.
There will be no rate reloads or malfunctions worked to the training. The sole stress factor will be the embarrassment of a round out this neat little group they’ve created. No retention position, no assistance hand shooting, no realism and no actual training accomplished.
When an applicant receives their concealed weapon permit, they will practically never seek extra training or choose another course if they needed to even have a class to start with. They won’t crack a single book on the legal aspects of concealed carry or armed self-defense.
